Factors, which lead
to fading:
- Main factor for fading is the UV light.
- A further factor is the visible light.
- Also the long-wave IR light represents a factor.
IR light can be reduced only by metallized films.
- The artificial lighting of the rooms is important
as well. In principle everybody should be warned of
halogen emitters, which are not UV arm. These can
deliver without disk UV-A and UV-B light, with disk
UV-A light.
- Further factors for fading can arise as a result
of humidity, environmental impacts and warmth.
- As last important factor for fading is the art to
see the ware. Not only the colours are responsible
for the fading effect but also the material used (Quality
standards for colour stability).
