Reduce Fading
Exposure to direct sunlight can cause many coloured or painted materials to fade. Ordinary glass allows harmful UV light to pass through and fade goods.

Fade reduction film applied to the inside of ordinary windows can filter out up to 99.5% of the damaging UV light whilst still allowing visible light in.

Films can also be chosen to reduce fading due to visible light and infrared radiation from the sun.
UV Protection
There is no complete protection from fading materials, since diverse factors are responsible for fading. However it is possible to retard clearly with UV protection film and further preventive measures against fading .

Factors, which lead to fading:

  • Main factor for fading is the UV light.
  • A further factor is the visible light.
  • Also the long-wave IR light represents a factor. IR light can be reduced only by metallized films.
  • The artificial lighting of the rooms is important as well. In principle everybody should be warned of halogen emitters, which are not UV arm. These can deliver without disk UV-A and UV-B light, with disk UV-A light.
  • Further factors for fading can arise as a result of humidity, environmental impacts and warmth.
  • As last important factor for fading is the art to see the ware. Not only the colours are responsible for the fading effect but also the material used (Quality standards for colour stability).
